We met Michelle Robinson, a teacher,  a few weeks ago in Kingston.

Michelle has stage 2 breast cancer and is still undergoing chemotherapy, but she still manages to smile and was in a bubbly spirit when we visited her at school recently.

We did a full makeover, with wig and makeup, for Michelle as she was attending graduation at the school where she teaches. When she saw her new look, before all the smiles she said, " this is exactly how I had imagined my wig would look, thank you Tanya."

One of our most treasured moments in life!

After

Natoya Julius was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She has been doing biopsies over a 3-year period and other tests which finally confirmed the diagnosis last May. In between that time she also got pregnant, which delayed her treatment.

We met Natoya via social media and on July 29, 2019, we drove from Portmore to Portland to finally meet and deliver Natoya's wig and a small financial assistance. It was a very overwhelming moment.

Natoya is still undergoing her treatments to battle this disease and it is extremely expensive. Through our campaign we are seeking to assist her with some of her expenses and to offer any support that we can.

After

We met Ms Doreen Davis in July 2019 and immediately she stole our hearts.

Miss Doreen has stage 3 breast cancer and has been going through a rough battle. She is now undergoing chemotherapy treatments.

On September 8, Miss Doreen celebrated her birthday and we made every effort to make her smile on her special day. We delivered grocery items courtesy of Jungle Fyah Restaurant, a specially made wig and cash to her and family.

Cancer isn't a walkover, I have witnessed the cruel effects it had on my dad. I became inspired a few months ago to donate wigs to cancer patients and persons with illnesses that cause extreme to full baldness.

Our hair helps to boost our confidence and gives us the drive we need to go through life. As a stylist I understand what these ladies are going through with this monstrous disease and then hair loss becomes an added issue. Giving back confidence is the least I can do to make their journey a little easier. The tears and smiles I get to see after each installation is priceless ❤

Thanks to Marsha, her daughter, for contacting Urban Chic.
